About AVP Plumbing

Built around doing two things really well

AVP Plumbing was founded by Alexander Vincent Price in 2012, operating as a fully-licensed plumbing business from a base in Forster on the NSW Mid North Coast. The business is owner-operated, meaning the person you deal with on the phone is the person doing the work.

Most plumbers list every service they can possibly offer on their website. AVP took a different call: focus on the two services we're best at and that the local area genuinely needs — blocked drains with CCTV inspection, and non-invasive leak detection. The general plumbing work is still part of what we do for our local customers, but the specialist work is the heart of the business.

Our approach

Diagnose first, repair second

Most plumbing repairs go wrong because the diagnosis was rushed. We invest the time and use the right equipment to understand what's actually causing the problem before we recommend a fix. Customers tell us our quotes tend to come in lower than competitors' for the same job — because we're not pricing in the cost of guessing.

Modern equipment, used properly

HD CCTV drain cameras, thermal imaging cameras, acoustic leak detectors, hydro jetting, tracer gas — we've invested in the equipment that makes specialist work possible. The equipment alone doesn't mean much; what matters is the experience to use it well. We've put both pieces together.

Upfront, written pricing

Every significant job gets a written quote before we start. If something unexpected comes up mid-job that changes the scope, we stop and have the conversation with you. No surprise invoices, no creeping scope.

Who we work with

About half our work is for residential property owners — families, retirees, holiday home owners. The other half is for trade clients: builders, other plumbers, real estate agents, strata managers, and property managers. We're set up to work with all of them

Based in Forster, NSW. Primary response area covers Forster, Tuncurry, Pacific Palms, Smiths Lake, Hallidays Point, Old Bar, Hawks Nest, Tea Gardens, and Taree. Wider service area extends from Hawks Nest in the south to Coffs Harbour in the north.
